Creative direction and film for sport · London

Some words don’t translate.Neither do some stories, unless you watch long enough.

I’m Ana, a visual interpreter, bringing creative direction and film to athletes, brands, events and communities who care deeply about what they do. I help you communicate your journey or your product visually, and help it reach the people who need to see and hear you.

How I work

I build brand films in three layers.

  1. The World

    brings attention

Where people feel they belong. They leave with more questions than answers, and curiosity makes them stay.

  2. The Detail

    gives clarity

What people need to understand: the product, the work, the details you spent months getting right.

  3. The Journey

    builds trust

The process and the people behind it. This is where they decide to trust you.

Show what matters. Cut what doesn’t.

About

The interpreter

I’m Ana, a self-taught filmmaker. I’ve been filming for six years. I grew up in Ukraine and came to the UK in 2022, first to Scotland, then London, starting over with a camera and a new language.

Moving country changed how I see. For four years I interpreted constantly, Ukrainian to English and back, in my head, before every conversation. It taught me that direct translation rarely works. Some words don’t exist in the other language; some have ten meanings. And some everyday phrases made no sense to me at all, while everyone born into them had never thought to question them.

I started doing the same with my camera: looking for the meaning in what I see, not only what I hear. I chose places where I needed to watch more than talk, and that’s how I found endurance sport. I didn’t want to direct runners. I wanted to blend into their world and translate their stories into visual language. From the track it grew into brand films and athlete stories, gyms, Pilates studios, Hyrox and hikes, and I believe there are more worlds waiting to be seen.

Six years of filming taught me how. A new language taught me why.

When you care deeply about what you do, you’re too close to see it the way others will, like a phrase you’ve said so often you’ve stopped hearing it. I’m the outside eye. First we find the heart of your story, and the part people aren’t seeing yet. Then I find its metaphor: the image that says it better than words. I hold the thread the whole way, creative direction, filming and editing, so nothing gets lost in translation.

I won’t rewrite your story, oversaturate it, or sell a picture of you. I’ll show your journey as it is: what matters, and nothing that doesn’t.

Don’t hold back from building the world you want to live in. The right people will come and join you.

You’ll probably enjoy working with me if…

  • You care deeply about what you do, and find it hard to put into words.
  • Your world is sport: running, cycling, triathlon, Hyrox, Pilates, the gym, a club, a race, a lab, sportswear, or one I haven’t named yet.
  • You want your journey shown as it is, not a polished picture of you.
  • You’d rather have one film people finish than fifteen they scroll past.
  • You’re happy to let someone see your story from a new angle.
  • You’re thinking long term: a world that keeps growing.
…and probably not if
  • You’re looking for an editor for someone else’s footage. I edit what I film, though I’m happy to colour grade.
  • You see filming as a box to tick, not part of your journey.
  • Every shot is decided and you need someone to press record.
