A website rebrand, treated as a visual interpretation of the brand’s story. A world where an athlete’s journey meets the science of the NV team: people who have been there, who know your numbers, and know when to push you and when to hold you.
Every athlete starts somewhere no one is watching. For NV Performance, I didn’t film a lab. I filmed one athlete and the team behind him.
Ben is the hero, not the founder. He could be anyone who has stood at a start line and wondered if they’re ready. His mission is to go further. What stands in his way isn’t the distance but the doubt: the voice that gets loud when you’re alone on the track and nobody tells you it’s enough. The NV team is his guide. They watch the numbers so he doesn’t have to wonder. The lab measures him, the gym builds him, the track lets him go.
I built the world in three layers, each with its own job.
- The World brings attention. The red track, the open sky, the sun. One strong image that makes the right people feel at home and everyone else ask what they’re missing. Here I film what he feels, not what he lifts: hesitation, the doubt of being alone. The camera stays body close (breath, skin, hands), and slow motion and suspension give the feeling room. Three palettes, one grade, so the track, lab and gym feel like one world.
- The Detail gives clarity. The mask, the data, the bar in white and in black. Not the packages: the experience, and the details someone spent years getting right so you can perform better. What the lab measures, the track lives: breath measured in the mask is released into the sky, and the body held in a harness is let go into the light. Match cuts carry it, like the same lift in the white lab and the black gym, with motion blur so effort reads as movement.
- The Journey builds trust. The coaches watching, reading, pushing. Calm faces when the tension is highest. This is where the certainty comes from: knowing someone is monitoring you, so you can push harder without fear. Back on the track alone, his strength comes from repetition and from what the lab taught him. Controlled chaos, then stillness, so it lands.

12On the same 12-hour filming day, we also made two other films about NV’s Personal coaching and Online coaching, with five more athletes. How we built the intersection between them is coming in the next part of this series.
The finish line isn’t where the win is. It’s in every step you didn’t take alone.
If you care this much about what you do, it deserves to be seen this way.
